Elizabeth Dwyer is a dedicated marketing and communications professional with a passion for storytelling and digital strategy. With a background in public relations, social media management and copywriting, she has honed her ability to connect brands with their audiences in meaningful ways. Elizabeth is currently working as a senior intern with the Post Studios team for the New York Post, Page Six and Decider after extending her position with the team twice. In this role, she assists with digital content creation, campaign strategy and audience engagement while collaborating on high-profile projects that drive traffic for some of the most recognizable names in media. Working closely with both editorial and brand strategy teams, Elizabeth has gained valuable hands-on experience in integrating content across platforms to support the overarching goals of storytelling, user engagement and audience growth. She is driven by a love for connecting people, telling stories and making a positive impact in the industry.
As a student in the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, named the top PR program in the country by PRWeek, Elizabeth gained a solid foundation in campaign building, lead generation and audience analytics. One of her most pivotal experiences as an undergraduate was with Swamp Records, the largest student-run record label in the United States. In her leadership roles as an artist director and booking manager, she developed and navigated relationships with artists, fans, venues and the press. Working on smaller teams for new artists allowed her to participate in every step of the process, from booking shows to managing social media rollouts. Her motivation to expand her knowledge of the entertainment industry and culture led her to work as a public relations and writing intern for the music NFT startup EQ Exchange, where she wrote about featured artists while connecting a diverse client base to the world of Web3. Working for both a startup and a large student-run record label provided her with valuable experiences in fast-paced environments, emphasizing the importance of adaptability, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
After graduating with dean’s list and presidential honors in May 2023, Elizabeth continued her education as a graduate student in UF’s online Master of Arts in Mass Communication program with a concentration in Digital Strategy while also teaching English in Madrid, Spain. As a language assistant, she commuted four hours daily to rural Spain to educate and support underprivileged students aged 4 to 12. This experience allowed her to complete her coursework while immersing herself in a new language, environment and culture to become a truly global citizen.
